Shergarh Fort
Situated on the banks of the Parwan River at a distance of about 65 km from Baran, Shergarh Fort is one of the most popular tourst attractions. This monument held strategic importance for the rulers. Ruled by various dynasties over the years. Shergarh got its name after it was captured by Sher Shah. Its original name was Koshvardhan.
Ramgarh Mata Temple

Ramgarh Crator
Ramgarh Crater, located near Baran in Rajasthan, is a significant geological site renowned for its remarkable impact structure. This crater, created by a meteorite collision, is approximately 3.5 kilometers in diameter and is estimated to be around 3.5 million years old. It is one of India’s most well-preserved impact craters and offers a unique glimpse into Earth’s past.
Shergarh Sanctuary
- About 65 km from the city, this rich and picturesque sanctuary is located in Shergarh village, where endangered species of flora and many animals are found.
- The sanctuary is home to a range of wildlife, including the elusive leopard, the majestic blackbuck, and various species of birds and reptiles.
Gugor Fort
Gugor Fort is located in the district of Baran of Rajasthan. The fort has historical significance as it was the built by the Kheechi rulers to prevent the raids from "Hadas", a clan in the nearby region. The Kheechi rulers had been on the lookout for a more suitable and central place to make it their third capital after they had ruled from Gugor for a period of 400 years.
With the transfer of the capital to Raghogarh, Gugor was added to the Thikana of Chhabra which came to be called Chhabra Gugor, as it is known at present.
